Amira Glickman has been studying and practicing subtle energetics and meditation for over 30 years. She is a practicing Universalist Sufi since 2009, and graduated from Suluk Academy, the esoteric school of the Inayati Order where she began intensive study with Pir Zia Inayat Khan in 2011. She has been in close relationship with Senior Sufi teacher Gayan Macher and has been deeply exploring the transformational art of contemplative inquiry for the past 15 years.

Amira is passionate about working at the intersections of feminism / transformative racial justice + embodied spiritual experience. She has facilitated community spiritual development circles for the past 5 years and has studied under Mee Moua of the W. Kellogg Foundation’s Truth Racial Healing and Transformation efforts. Currently, she is writing and developing community conversations about white identity and wealth.

Amira is happiest when there are blankets on her and a whole slew of trees filling her line of vision. She has a 7 year old son, named Sacha that provides her with direct access to the miraculous on a daily basis and a ginger-haired gardening partner, Damon, who she is lucky enough to have snagged for life. They co-own, In the Garden Farm, an urban farm that produces quite extraordinary fruits and vegetables. All currently reside in Austin, Texas.

Note: Although this bio is not funny in the least, Amira is.
